Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom

Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom
In the days before trying to locate the Ark of the Covenant, Indiana Jones and his sidekick, Short Round, unwittingly team up with nightclub singer, Willie Scott, in order to find the sacred stolen stone of a tribe in India. The trail leads them to the Temple of Doom where children are being kept captive in order to find other sacred lost stones. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for in “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom”.

· When they’re floating down the river in the yellow dingy, Willie is on Indy’s left. She’s still on his left in the close-up, when Willie says, “and I hate you”. But, in the views of them in the dingy after Indy replies, “Good”, Willie is on his right side. She stays to his right until the river calms and they’re laying down in the dingy.

· During the fight in the underground temple as Willie is about to be sacrificed, a close-up of Mola Ram shows him taking off his helmet. A quick view of Mola Ram when Indy yells and runs at him, shows his helmet is back on and he’s also standing. It cuts to a closer view and the helmet is off again and he’s laying down, conveniently over the trap door.

· During the battle in the mine, the Maharaja has a voodoo doll of Indy and is sticking a sharp pin in it. Short Round grabs the Maharaja and the pin is out of the doll and in the Maharaja’s right hand. When the doll falls to the ground, the pin is stuck in it.

· There is a beam of wood in the mine car that Willie and Short Round climb into. It’s still there when Indy jumps in. But, in the view of the car when Short Round is telling them they need to take the left tunnel, the beam is gone. The beam is back when Indy tells Short Round to “take the brakes”. Indy eventually tosses the beam on the track.

“Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” (1984) stars Harrison Ford, Kate Capshaw, Ke Huy Quan, Amrish Puri and Dan Aykroyd. It runs 118 minutes and is rated PG for violence, frightening and intense scenes.
